AAFES “You Made the Grade” program: Your Garmisch Exchange is part of the “You Made the Grade program! The “You Made the Grade” program is designed to reward students, 1st-12th grade, for above-average academic achievement and to inspire them to work that much harder. See the attachment below for more information.

Spirit wear! If you have spirit wear that no longer fits your children, please consider donating it to the PTA so it can find a new home with another student. Donations are being collected in the front office. 

College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS) Summative Assessment for grades 3-7 will take place May 5-9. Approximate testing times are 8:00-10:45 each day. In preparation for the CCRS Summative Assessments, please make sure that your child is well rested and has a good breakfast on the day of the assessment.  Parents are encouraged to schedule doctor’s appointments and other activities around assessment dates.  If a student is absent due to illness, Ms. Straka will schedule a make-up time for them.

Talent Show coming soon! All students are invited to participate in the 2025 GEMS Talent Show! It will be held on 22 May at 12:30, during the school day. Please complete the Talent Show interest form by 25 April sharing details about your student’s performance. 

1000 books before High School GEMS is supporting our base library with their awesome program called '1000 Books before High School'. Students can count any book they read from the GEMS library and the base library towards their goal of 1000 books. They also receive a prize for every 100 books they read!
